Georgian Dream Boat is a gem in the Bay Area! The khinkali tasted just like homemade, and the service was super friendly. The restaurant's cozy vibe makes you feel like you're in the Caucasus. So glad to finally have real Georgian food around here!

First time trying Georgian food and it did not disappoint. This place is a small mom and pop shop and I almost missed it, but I saw the cheese boat as a menu outside and had to try it. To my surprise- it's better than you're thinking :) my party and I ordered a couple things - Georgian dumplings, sausage and potatoes, and a variety of the cheese boats. The waiter was kind to show us how to eat the dumplings the right way. Everything was so delicious and breaks my heart I'm too far away to come back regularly. If you are in the area, definitely check the place out- I recommend the dumplings and the cheese boat! 10/10

Great place to grab a bite to eat, Food was very good and it definitely was a nice change for me. The wine pairs well with the dishes. Casual atmosphere and sevice was fine . Nothing fancy but solid dishes. We were a party of three and shared a couple of meals. Look forward to coming back.

Order yourself using the kiosk at the counter. Then take a seat and you'll be served. I didn't quite understand the process. The beef kebabs were so delicious. Sadly the mashed potatoes they came with were cold. The cheese boat was ok. Maybe had I tried a different one with more toppings I would have liked it. Had really sweet Georgian wine. The place was quiet and clean with only two employees. One was the chef I'm presuming and the lady was managing the front. I'm glad I came across this place.

Love this place. Casual atmosphere, great service, delicious food. We'd never tried Georgian food before but really enjoyed absolutely everything we tried. The Ajapsandali (eggplant stew) was my wife's favorite and I scarfed down the Chakapuli (lamb stew). Definitely try one of the Khachapuris (cheeseboats), and the honey cake for dessert. We've been telling our friends about this place and we'll definitely be back.

This was my first time trying Georgian food and it definitely won't be my last. My girlfriend and I stopped by here for a late lunch yesterday. We arrived and were around 1:30 PM and were promptly seated and given menus to order. The restaurant itself is quaint - it has a couple of small tables that can seat from 2-4 people. It's in a vibrant neighborhood and the overall atmosphere was pleasant. Our server was also friendly, efficient (I believe he was working solo), and very helpful. For our meal we got an order of the ajapsandali (veggie stew), an order of the mushroom khinkali, and a spinach cheese boat. Everything we got was solid and flavors were well balanced. My girlfriend absolutely loved the ajapsandali. It was a tomatoey stew with eggplant, carrots, potatoes and herbs. It was a minimalist dish in the best way possible - the fresh ingredients really did the heavy lifting of the flavor here. The highlight for me was the cheese boat we got. It was herby, and the type of cheese used was tangy and salty. Lastly, the mushroom dumplings were solid. The filling was earthy and had an umami flavor and the wrappers were tender. I think a condiment would've paired nicely with it but on their own they were solid too. All in all, we enjoyed our meal at Georgian Cheese Boat and I'd definitely make a stop back to try some of the meat dishes and other items in the menu.

Of the Georgian food restaurants I've tried, this is my favorite. Unlike the others, it offers more variety (especially vegetarian options!), larger portions, and more affordable prices. The service is very good, and the food has perfect seasoning. The place is small but meets the basics, has ventilation, and is clean. I will definitely come back to try more of their menu. For lunch, I had: -Acharuli Khachapuri - Bacon (Classic cheeseboat with crispy bacon) -AJAPSANDALI (Vegetarian stew with eggplant, tomato, zucchini, bell pepper, potato, fresh herbs) -KHINKALI - Georgian Dumplings (mushrooms) -CHAKHOKHBILI MEATBALLS (Chicken stew meatballs in a tomato and veggie creamy sauce) -Honey cake

This place was a pleasant surprise. We ordered a variety of foods (never having eaten Georgian food before) and it was super yummy. The restaurant is not very busy so you can easily visit without a reservation. Be warned they are blasting music at all times but it adds to the fun vibes. The meal was good but honestly the main stars were the desserts! Overall, I think it was a bit overpriced, we wanted a casual comfort meal but left with a $100+ bill.

This is my first time Georgian food! So excited. This restaurant is located at north beach. There is street parking or public parking. I found a public parking $4/hr. We went to the restaurant on Monday night but it was packed. Luckily we had a table. The owner took menu and served. He was nice and friendly. We ordered classic cheese boat, vegetarian stew, chicken cooked in milk and chicken matsuadi. Very healthy and tasty! Also we ordered dessert "napoleon " . It was good. Not too sweet and like Millefeuille. There is some cute pictures on the wall. We enjoyed new taste!

My friend saw it on a map and said "what the heck is a Georgian Cheese Boat?" I actually used to live across the street from a Georgian restaurant, so I was actually able to explain to him what Georgian chachapuri is - basically, imagine a pizza with a high crust, and lots of very eggy cheese in the middle. I suppose it does kind of look like a boat. Also I looked at the menu and the prices were surprisingly reasonable for a restaurant in San Francisco, one of the most expensive cities in the world, a plus! It's not actually cheap, but it's cheap by SF standards. Anyways, the service was absolutely wonderful - they were even nice enough to randomly just lend my friend a phone charger because his iPhone was dying (smh imagine being an Apple user, couldn't be me). Service was extremely fast, though part of that is because you order by using an iPad they set up in the front. That being said, it also made it very easy to just keep ordering more dishes...which was a choice. The food was also excellent, and I'm going to run through each dish I had. The fact that I can remember almost all of them months after I ate here is an incredible testament to the restaurant, by the way. Bacon Acharuli Khachapuri - my friend wanted the cheeseboat with bacon. I honestly think there are few foods improved by bacon and I ended up actually sliding most of the bacon into his side of the boat. That being said, the cheese boat was fantastic. Incredibly warm, soft, and flavorful - in a way where the cheese and egg flavor almost seemed to soak into the warm, inviting bread. That being said, I was expecting this dish to be good, because the restaurant is literally named after this dish. Though that is not always a guarentee - I once tried to buy a coat at a Burlington Coat Factory and was told they don't sell boats. I still think about this to this day. Chakapuli - a very herbal, flavored lamb "stew." I'm not entirely sure I'd call it a stew, it was more lamb chunks with a generous heaping of herbal sauces. The sauce was definitely not something you would drink, though it was something to dip bread into. Anyways, delicious, complex, and unusual flavor. Definitely recommended for more adventurous eaters who enjoy more herbal seasonings. Megruli - more cheese bread. It's got cheese inside and outside. The flavor profile is very good. Less eggy than the cheese boat - and also much much easier to eat (you just take slices out like it's a pizza). If only American pizza was like this... Kupati - Georgian sausages. Very large, very very large and filling. The outside of snappy - you could feel when you bit through the sausage casing. The inside was somewhat dry, like you were eating spiced dry meat. Also very tasty and unique. Unlike many sausages, I think you can eat it by itself - the flavor is present but not overpowering. Comes with a sweet sauce you can dip it into (recommended!) Shkmeruli - A milk chicken dish. Comes with a very nice bread. Hearty, filling, chicken dish. Very recommended if you want something milky or creamy - but not too overpowering or heavy. Lobio - basically mashed pinto beans mixed with herbs and spices and all kinds of things. Comes with bread and pickled veggies on the side. Beans are a miracle food and so is Lobio. All three of these foods go together great! Also highly recommend the hot adjika sauce - absolutely a great thing to dip meat dishes in. Probably one of my favorite restaurants in San Francisco - can't wait to be back!
